Hello friends…near and far. I am filled with such gratitude to have met and spoken with so many of you in the last month. Welcome to the Age of Aquarius!!!!!!!! Wow!!!! Check out previous post for a little insight if you are not familiar with what this new age has in store for us, our human potential,and spiritual awareness. I am inspired to share with you a little of my experience with a 1,000 day meditation. So, on a cold February’s day in 2008, I made a commitment to do a daily meditation for 1,000 days; a Global Meditation called ‘Meditation for the Invincible Spirit’. This meditation was given by Yogi Bhajan, Master of Kundalini Yoga, to help prepare and polish the spirit, make us great…in a way that would allow us elevate others to this shift in human consciousness.
Naturally, this experience was rich with insight, self inquiry, and deepening. What I found most fascinating and exciting about the whole thing, was that when I embarked on the commitment, I had envisioned how at the end, there would be ‘something’, some amazing experience, something that would lead me even deeper into my spirit and spiritual practice. You know, this subconcious notion that if I do this…then this will happen. (OH, and it was going to be FABULOUS!!!! AND CLEAR!!!) It will improve my life. Make me more connected. More joyful. More radiant. Stronger. More peaceful. Right…the ‘reasons’ ‘we’ meditate. So, um, er, geez….none of that happened. Contrary, I had the most intense 3 years of my life. Job layoffs, ruts, nearly ’lost it all’ (whatever that means….i had and have it all!), and let’s add that I was led on a wild spirit guided goose chase across the country. On and on.
So, what the …..??? THIS IS GOD? My most favorite Yogi Bhajan quote “If you can’t see God in all, you can’t see God in all” whispering and mimicking loudly in my head. So, while it appeared externally that SHIFT was hitting the fan, internally,the surrender began. It was all perfect! Incredible, absolutely divine! I began to realize that the gift of my meditation was a real LIFE experience. It brought me back into my life by bringing up all sorts of crap for healing. This remembering that what is offered to me in my daily life, RIGHT NOW!, THAT is where the juicy nuggets of my soul’s growth is. I thought that my meditation would propel me deeper into a spiritual place and actually it plopped me right in the middle of humanity. And MY humanity.
Which aligned me right with the vibration of this Aquarian Age shift. I could see clearly, my numerology teacher Nam Hari, saying, “When the human in you (hold up one index finger) and the God in you (hold up the other index finger) are in parallel unison, then you are an 11″. Yippeeeeeeee~behold! 11-11-11…alive in my life, through my meditation, and through the grace of experience that this time is offering to us.
There were so many other juicy fruits that showed their face to me throughout this time, but you get the idea. Also, for the record, I missed a couple days of the meditation. The tradition is that you begin again, this real life yogini did no such thing. I took the message to lighten up and enjoy the other 998 days of the meditation. The invitation to come to this meditation practice from a place of deepening and nourishment…allowing for the space of this invincible spirit to live with God in each breath; and from that breath, UPlifting!

Hello Dear Friends! What an amazing time to be alive of the planet! You may have heard about this SHIFT the entire cosmos is experiencing and perhaps you have heard about 11-11-11 and its powerful effects. What’s all the fuss about? Here’s a little straight talk about the Age of Aquarius and more importantly, what its invitation is for you and for all of us as a collective. (Please please please be clear that I am no expert and you will have to travel deep into your own lives and experiences to find out if this rings true to you 
!). But here’s a bit about what I have gathered and noticed.
For the last 2,000 years, we have been in the Age of Pisces. We are now entering a whole new dimension of human potential and spiritual awareness. It is a time to move from the ‘me to WE’ paradigm. The overall theme of this era was ‘I want to know’. So we as humanity searched out the answers from others who told us that they have the answers. And we spent much of our energy trying to find out the answers from the few who had them, and so much was secret! Well, those days are over. This is the Age of Information and awareness, ANYTHING you want to know is pretty much a click away. The motto of yesteryears was ‘to be or not to be’ and the Aquarian motto is ‘to be to be’ and the whole vibe is to EXPERIENCE!
This shift comes with some ‘speeding up’ which I have totally experience and it takes some extra managing! The nervous system will be looking for ways to remain calm and steady so it can keep up with the pressure of the times. Keep that in mind when you find yourself flying through, the tendency will be to go faster…but the invitation is to really SLOW DOWN!
Here are the 5 Sutras of the Aquarian Age which Yogi Bhajan shared with us to better ‘get it’:
1). Recognize that the ‘other’ person is YOU! (hmmmmmm, a biggie!)
2). There is a way through every block.
3). When the time is on you, start, and the pressure will be off.
4). Understand through COMPASSION or you will misunderstand the times.
5). Vibrate the Cosmos…and the Cosmos will clear the way for you!

Hello! aaaaahhh, there’s no place like home, right? I am inspired by my most recent move (from my home in Maine to the fabulous city of Austin, TX and 6 months later back to original house in the fabulous state of Maine!!!!!) anyway, inspired to share how the power of numerology helps me to understand the vibration that my house carries and how that awareness helps me to understand the ‘relationship’ I personally have with my home. YES! Your home carries a numerological vibration~as do all things.
This 949 is the number of my house. I look at the entire address, but the number to me is of the most importance. By adding up the numbers 9+4+9 would yield 22. 2+2=4. 4 is the end number of my house. A 4 house provides a strong, solid, nuetral container for the folks who live there. Think of a square, supporting what is in it like a rock, effortlessly. The number 4 relates to the neutral mind and to meditation…and I love to bless my life and home with meditation to keep it’s number vibing high. It’s like cleaning up the inner working of my house, right along with the household chores. My 949 home is a 4 via a significant number in numerology, so before the 2+2 are added together to get the final 4, the 22 has a special meaning. 22 is the number of the MASTER PLANNER. Now, for the 7 years that my family and I have lived in our house, I have had this in my periphery of thoughts that this is where we make our Master Plan. Made sense, not a permanent home, just a place for a little while, while we planned, got all of the details in order, and worked out a way to move to the locale of our dreams. (far far away from the chilly Maine winters!) It gets even juicier when you look into the numbers that make up the 949. There is a 13 in there (on each end). 13 in numerology is also a very special number. The essence of the 13 is an ‘Ultimate Challenge~Ultimate Blessing’. It has been no suprise to me that our house has been just that. It presented us with many challenges; it’s heavy, solid, weightedness challenged us by feeling anchored when we wanted to move and it sat on the market for many months, and yet we saw the gifts offered to us and knew it was a blessing to be housed here.
We ultimately decided that our dream of moving could no longer wait and we packed our things and headed to Austin, feeling that it was time to put our Master Plan into action. After 6 glorious months in the city and hill country of Austin, we were led, SUDDENLY, in an instant, right back home. The ultimate blessing revealed~our home (still un-sold…although an offer came in 20 minutes after deciding to return!!!) was waiting for us. We arrived to a house that was loved up by friends with flowers, welcome home signs, pumpkins, groceries, and even toilet paper! We are thrilled to be back in our glorious ultimate challenge~ultimate blessing 949 home.
Oh…and I had a good laugh at myself thinking that I was the MASTER PLANNER!!!!! Ha!

Hello my dear dear friends!!!! How do you make God laugh? Yeah, the old, TELL EM ALL YOUR PLANS line! Well, I am thrilled to be a part of this universal laughter because oh, there is some belly laughing going on on my behalf. After a most wild and intense ride to one of the most amazing cities EVER, (I LOVE YOU AUSTIN!!!) my family is being called back home to Maine. My wise 7 year old has most recently gifted me with the reminder that family and friends are the most important thing. My husband and I marveled at the roots he had so firmly planted with friends and community. As a yogini and deep listener…I will support his innate wisdom and the messages that he is receiving at this time and jump back in to the loving arms of my beloved White Mountains.
SO….yes!!!! Of course this means, I am so estatically offering Kundalini Yoga and JourneyDance classes in the Valley and throughout New England again soon. Stay tuned for a fall schedule beginning secondish week in October 2011. Together, we will uplift this planet and ring in the Age of Aquarius together.
